Cultural & Artistic Proposals

The development of the aims of the Foundation is carried out, among others, through the following actions:

  • Exhibition of paintings, sculptures, photographs, local and regional authors, etc.
  • Exhibition of private collections. Presentation of curated exhibitions around thematic axes.
  • Presentation of authors and their literary works. Workshops given by painters, photographers, sculptors, musicians, etc., who have excelled in their respective specialties.
  • Organisation of programmes, talks or dissertations by artists, critics or experts, generating debate that enriches the view of the world.
  • The Ramseyer Dayer Foundation Award "For Innovation in Art" aims to recognise innovation and quality in the work of contemporary artists, in the Annual Exhibition of Plastic Artists (A.A.P.E.).

Exhibitions

Since its beginnings in 2008, the Foundation has held monthly exhibitions of Art Samples: painting, photography, video installations, sculpture, etc.
The artists can access our Call for Exhibition Projects and the Advisory Team makes the selection for the following year.
The FRD Exhibitions are characterised by their continuity through the years, their artistic quality and by providing a suitable space for mounting and lighting, but also for offering artists a place to show their work and present their projects.

Concerts y Shows

Every month, concerts and music recitals are presented at the Foundation. With a wide range of options and all styles. First class musicians and artists, both national and international, have been part of our agenda.
Music is a reference in this institution. Many concerts have been organised in connection with other venues of the city, such as associations, the Basilica and its own esplanade. Also in our internal hall, more intimate and in the garden, concerts of Jazz, Folklore, Tango, etc. have been presented.
For several years now, rock concerts have been held in conjunction with music studios such as Umbral Estudios, and Disc-jockeys have been presented with vinyls and special sessions.

Conferences y Presentations

The FRD is open to receive specialists in various branches of Art, writers, professionals, etc. Conferences and presentations of books, workshops, or any topic of training and cultural enrichment are carried out since the beginning.
These activities bring the public closer to sharing, debating and questioning on specific themes: photography, cinema, heritage, literature... giving place to creators from the city and the region.

Cinema

The FRD's film programmes invite you to enjoy the seventh Art in the gardens of the house and have also been held in the Esperanza Social Club, in its beautiful space and with the aim of adding to the institutional links with other entities.
Short films and national and foreign films have been presented with the advice of producers and filmmakers from our region.
We also have the Santa Fe City Film Group, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, with 25 films to its credit, working with the most outstanding actors and actresses of the local environment. Recognised musicians from Santa Fe have also been part of this group, composing and performing the original music.

Theatre

"It has been said that theatre is the most perfect instrument man has created to document or record, in a vital way and in dimensions, the mystery and magic, the purpose and scheme of his life through different ages. It has also been called "the conscience of man" that speaks to his fellow man." (Edward A. Wright).

Plays require special management and organisation, which is why the Ramseyer Dayer Foundation has worked together with the Swiss Guillermo Tell Association in order to be able to mount them in their stage space.
Some plays or monologues have also been presented in the institution, both in the main hall and in the courtyard. It is always a welcome discipline and with its specific audience.
